CAD/CAM engineering gives us a detailed preview of the end product as early as in its development stage. Often, development activities are carried out on multiple versions of the same product simultaneously; by mutually comparing them, we can make sure only the best solutions from individual versions are carried over into practice.  

During the development stage, CAD/CAM modeling of a product also provides simulation of mechanical, thermal and other loads the end plastic product might be subjected too during its actual use.
